Polar bears, as predicted, were finally added to the list of endangered species in around 2007. These mammals live in cold places such as the Artic and Canada. For a living, they hunt seals and other marine mammals. They travel, mate on ice and even give birth on ice. But that is being changed because the sea ice is melting. The cause for this is that the temperature is getting warmer which we take responsibility for because of polution. Hunting polar bears by the native people will not be banned, but importing polar bear products in Canada will be. Some scientist are looking at the positive side which is, if the artic temperature returns to the negatives and the sea ice returns, then the polar bears will have a chance to survive.
I really do hope that the polar bears survive. Although they may not directly affect us, they're affecting the world which we live in. I think that if we slowly help by carpooling, recycling, stop dripping faucets, and other little thing, then we might really help the poor polar bears. Also, I believe that hunting polar bears by native people should be banned because then even more would survive. In all, I think that if we all step in, then polar bears will be taken out of the endangered species list.
